I hate the first of the month :(

Everywhere I look, people are putting up huge lists of everything they have achieved this month. My list is always so small in comparison. So I have a choice, either put up my meagre list and be embarrassed, or don't put up a list and feel left out.

So here goes nothing!

  1. Hey! Don't be so down on yourself, you have achieved loads this month!! I know just how hard it is to juggle 'life' with quilting!! You reminded me, I forgot to include the Father's Day Card I made, although strictly speaking it wasn't sewing, but still cute. Oh well, too late now. The main thing is you are having fun with it all, so just enjoy!!

  2. I think you did great! That should be a respectable list of finishes in anyone's book. I totally gave up crafting, sewing, quilting, and most everything else until a my youngest child started driving. I had honestly forgotten how much I enjoyed these things. The only thing I made during most of that time was costumes for the girls' various shows. Now that I don't have kids at home, I can spend my time doing things I enjoy (and thankfully, not so much time spent in the car!)

I love your Binkies on Broadway quilt. It's adorable!

  4. Hi Libby. You are doing great!! I tell myself this, "It's a community not a contest". We all have different things going on at different times. I have been waiting years to finally have some time to myself to quilt and sew. Be proud of yourself!!

  5. I think you have accomplished loads this month, my little mosaic only had 4 items in it. It's just nice to be involved and be sharing. FYI every time your name shows up in my rss feeder I start singing, I love that song!

  6. I don't think there is any reason to be embarrassed! There is more to life than sewing, and you have to attend to it! And you've made some really cute stuff--I love that Father's Day card.

If you're still feeling down, you can hop over to my blog and check out my June finishes, which are less numerous than yours. ;)

  7. Hey girl - go ahead and click over to my site and see what I got done, it'll make you feel a lot better, LOL! I just do what I can, when I can. It's all about enjoying what you are doing. I wish I had more time to sew, but I work full time and I can't change that, so whatayagonnado. I also really like to read, so a spend quite a bit of time doing that when I could be quilting! You got a LOT done, seriously! And your binkies on broadway quilt looks so impressive - really nice work!!
